Synchronous DAC output and high-drive current output are available. This product is priced well and is well documented. However, the unit I received was defective out of the box.

It was a big pain to figure out that one of the analog outputs was not working. Luckily, none of my equipment was damaged by the 12V output the channel was giving. I was able to return it but I had to pay for return shipping.

Was this review helpful? Outstanding performance at a Low Cost. Compact in Size, Low Power Consumption. I purchased this along with another unit to automate some of the projects that my company does. It was easy to set up and to program. The speed at which this unit performs is impressive.

I'll use MMC for all of my digital data collection and control. The device worked perfectly out of the box. Successfully installed on a Windows XP machine and succesfully interfaced with Matlab using data acquisition toolbox.

The only surprise was the location of ports: This makes the wiring sightly challenging. Like this product, but was disappointed that the current "output" is apparantly "sink" only, ie, it cannot source current which is what I needed as I am using the current outputs to simulate ma sensor's to test software.

Other than that I've had good luck with the voltage outputs. Like others, wish insta-cal was a little more user friendly. A very good output system, which we combined with external amplifiers to generate large voltage swings.

Be aware that this is not a ultra-high speed output device though! We managed to operate 4 of these simultaneously from MATLAB without significant lag between the devices. MATLAB documentation is good. The product is a very lightweight one and good in shape. I love the price but still, it has several disadvantages. Firstly the clock rate is k, but it seems at this price you won't expect more.

Secondly the output channel can only have 1mA drive capability. When I want to trigger the camera I had to combine two outputs manually, which is not safe.

Thirdly the ULx is still not ease to use as the DAQmx, especially in the case if you want to continuously change the output mode and waveform. Used the to convert digital outputs to analog signals in order to combine into one data acquisition system. The output ranges were accurate and easy to configure.

Drivers were easy to install and worked from the first install. What do you mean when you say that this DAQ is not supported by MATLAB? According to Mathworks's Data Acquisition Toolbox Release Notes, support for this model was added in version Rb. Has support been rescinded since then? Hello, Support for the USB device was added in release Rb but support was NOT added for the USBFS. At this time, the USBFS is not supported by MATLAB.

Was this answer helpful? The other instruments show matlab support specifically on the spec list but not this one. No, it does not. But if you'd like you can use mathscript in Labview to control the DAQ card.

Hello Dave, Thank you for your inquiry. Currently the USBFS is not supported by MATLAB and there are no plans at this time to have support added.

Hello - Measurement Computing does not offer a rack mounting kit for the Put option price matlab It does not provide the power for your circuit. You must be wired to a sinking input with a loop power supply in how much did the dow drop today circuit.

I need up to 30 mA wheras a single channel only provides 20 mA Yes, multiple current control output channels on the USB can be ganged up in parallel to control additional current. For example, two channels in parallel can control 0 to 40 mA. We build instrumentation using Windows Embedded Compact 7 as the main operating system.

Do you have WEC7 or other Windows CE drivers available? Hello Dan - At this time, MCC does not offer WinCE drivers.
